Bike Rental: City Bikes

A bike rental is the perfect way to discover Oslo like a local, at your own pace. With a quality bike, optional helmet, lock and customized mapping service, you are able to see all of the different sides of Oslo: trendy neighborhoods, historic castles and palaces, world-class parks, stunning coastline and endless forest. You can pick the bike up anytime after 9:30 and return it before the Viking Biking shop closes at 18:00. We have a variety of bikes: children's; city bikes, touring hybrids; etc. The best choice of bikes is available in the morning, from when the shop opens at 9:30.   24 Hour + rentals available: Bikes need to be stored in a safe location overnight. Nearly all hotels in Oslo have secure storage for bikes. Nature Walks: Forest to Fjord

Hike through Europe's largest urban forest, taking in a variety of sites from traditional wooden buildings, hilltop view points, pristine lakes and enough berries to last an entire holiday! The tour begins with a stunning metro ride up the hills, starting at sea level and ending nearly 500 meters above the city and fjord below. From there, the hiking begins, climbing steeply through the Oslo "marka", a dense forest with a couple of thousand kilometers of hiking paths. Dirt paths, rocky passages and deep forest await, as we make our way to the view point of Vettakollen, a "locals only" destination for one of the best views in all of Oslo. This stop is perfect for a panoramic lunch (bring your own or purchase along the way at a café in a local forest cabin). After lunch, continue through the forest until arriving at the shores of Sognsvann, one of Oslo's prettiest lakes and perfect for a swim. The tour ends at this lake, with easy access to a metro stop for return to the city center. Nature Walks: Island Hopping in the Oslo Fjord

Discover the majestic Oslo fjord and its various islands like a local, hopping on and off ferries to hike the forests, sea cliffs, charming villages and historic sites of three islands (sometimes two, sometimes four depending on the season and ferry schedule). FJORD SIGHTSEEING for 2 hours.

Departing from Pier 3, waterfront of the City hall. This is the classic Oslo Fjord sightseeing. We pass through narrow sounds, idyllic bays and through a maze of islands with small summer houses. Oslo, with its superb location, offers unique opportunities on and around its fjord which stretches almost into the city centre. Discover the scenery from a sightseeing boat. You’ll sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays so that you can capture the capital on camera from different angles. We will pass the Opera House in Oslo, housing The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet ensemble. The spot has been named Kirsten Flagstads place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad. It was designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta AS, which won an architectural competition in 2000. It was officially opened on 12 April 2008. The building has received many awards. The boat then passes close to the peninsula of Bygdøy, with many interesting museums as well as beaches such as Huk. You can also see the Maritime Museum with its veteran sailing ships moored outside, and the impressive Fram Museum, housing the polar ship of the same name. We sell refreshments on board.
